For the past year, I've been diligently recording my commute times using Datum on my iphone. I built a simple infographic to display my findings. Ugh. I spent 19,094 minutes commuting back/forth to work. That's a little over 318 hrs.

I was recently in Bogota, CO and had the pleasure of catching "The Outsiders" group show at The Warehouse Art Gallery (no association to Lazarides' efforts of the same name). The gallery is pretty cool... one big, open, modernist structure on a side street next to the University of the Andes.

The show brought together some of Bogota's biggest names in Street art and included a special guest from Spain, PEZ. The artists were: Dead Bird, Gris, Lesivo, Lilicuca, Mefisto, Rodez, Pez, Saintcat, Senil, Toxicomano, and Zokos. I knew of a few, but really, most were unknown to me, and that's OK... these were some fine discoveries!

The gallery basically had 3 areas, the huge main wall (see the video clip), a side-room installation dominated by a stenciled chair (nicely done by Dead Bird), and a small back area that had a number of the actual stencils displayed as art & a stand-alone installation of backpacks customized by the artists.

Also cool was the show's flyer. It was a stencil of the show's title. Very cool idea!

Here it is in all it's glory... the book's new cover! I must say, I really like this cover so much better than the previous cover... and not becuase 4 of the 5 images are mine! I think it does a better job conveying that this book is as much about a group of artists as it is about the medium.
